About Us

About Us

Mascoma Valley Dog Park Supporters (MVDPS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to building and maintaining public off-leash recreation areas for dogs and their people, also known as dog parks, within the Mascoma Valley region of New Hampshire. Although our focus is specifically in the towns of Enfield and Lebanon, our group is comprised of residents from many area towns, making it a truly multi-community collaboration.

The Shaker Field Dog Park was constructed during the summer of 2015 and opened to the public on August 11, 2015. The park is now open dawn to dusk daily.

In order to keep organized MVDPS formed the following committees. If you are interested in being involved, please email us at mascomavalleydogpark@gmail.com to sign up for a committee or for more information.

  • Fundraising & Events - Larissa Pyer & Melanie Ossman
  • Membership & Communications - Terri Lynch & Marcy Innes
  • Park Maintenance - Dan Pontbriand
  • Volunteers - Marcia Herrin & Paul Osgood

Meet the Board of Directors!

Marcia Herrin - President

Marcia has lived in Enfield Center over 25 years with husband, Alan, and, most recently, with Prairie Home Companion, her oversized mini Australian Shepherd. It was spring of 2013 in puppy class, Marcia first heard about dog parks and their benefits. Besides working to make a dog park a reality in Enfield, Marcia is a nutritionist in private practice in Lebanon.

Marcy Innes - Vice President

Marcy lives in Grafton with her husband Dan and their husky Tenzin. She grew up in a dog-loving family who often frequented the local shelter and often brought home more than one dog. Marcy teaches middle school art and English at The Sharon Academy, and in her free time likes to hike, kayak, make art and, of course, visit the dog park.

Larissa Pyer - Treasurer

Larissa lives in Lebanon with her husband, Bob, and two Beagles, Annie and Blue. She works at the Tuck School of Business and in her free time enjoys singing, walking & hiking with her pups, volunteering at the Upper Valley Humane Society, and of course, going to the dog park!

Melanie Ossman - Secretary

Paul Osgood - Member at Large
