Dog Park Status Update

posted Jun 28, 2015, 12:14 PM by Larissa Pyer
The Park Construction Committee has decided, based on the current park conditions and timeline, to delay our Grand Opening. This is due mostly to delays in the fencing installation, which have put us behind schedule. It is our hope that we will be able to have a 'soft opening' sometime in August and plan for a Grand Opening on or around Labor Day. Don't worry, we'll keep you posted!

We will hold an Open House on Sunday, July 26th from 10am-12pm as part of Enfield's Old Home Days. Please stop by then to visit the park site with your on-leash dogs, check out our progress, and take a walk around! We will also have memberships, Wagatha's treats, t-shirts (more information coming soon on how to pre-order), and bumper/window stickers for sale! Plan also to join the dog park supporters as we march with our dogs in Enfield's Old Home Days Parade on Saturday, July 25 at 10am.

Thanks to everyone who came on Saturday for all your work! We accomplished a lot - raking was done in the large and training parks, re-seeding in the large park, and hay was purchased (Thank You Bill!!) and spread in all three parks. The hay will go a long way to helping the seed and existing grass grow and strengthen. Watch for a call for more workdays later this summer!
